Privacy notice
Your details, and how they are used.
This notice explains what happens to the details you give when you ask for a callback through this website.
Who we are
This website belongs to the private practice of Mr Chelliah Selvasekar, consultant colorectal and general surgeon, Manchester (GMC 4452474). The practice is the controller of the personal data described here: it decides what is collected and why.
Practice name: ▮ legal name of the practice. Address: ▮ postal address. Registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, number ▮ ICO registration number.
What we collect
Through the enquiry form: your name, your telephone number, your email address if you give it, and the best time to call you. We ask you not to include medical details. If you choose to tell us about your health when we speak, that is recorded in your medical notes, which are covered by the practice's own patient records policy, not by this website.
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own and uses no analytics. Its fonts are served from our own web host, not from Google. The embedded form may set the cookies it needs to work.
Why we use it, and the lawful basis
We use your details only to contact you about your request and to arrange an appointment. The lawful basis is that you have asked us to: we are taking steps at your request before any agreement to see you as a patient. The box you tick on the form confirms that you want to be contacted. You can ask us to stop at any time.
We do not sell your details, use them for marketing, or send you automatic messages.
Who else handles it
The form runs on GoHighLevel (HighLevel, Inc.), a customer-relationship service that stores enquiries for the practice and acts only on its instructions, as a processor. The website itself is hosted by Hostinger, whose servers keep short technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the site.
HighLevel, Inc. is based in the United States, so your details may be stored there.
We share your details with nobody else, except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are deleted after ▮ retention period. If you become a patient, your details become part of your medical record and are kept for as long as the law on medical records requires.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, to have them corrected, to have them deleted, and to restrict or object to how they are used. There is no charge, and we will answer within one month.
To use any of these rights, contact the practice at ▮ email address for privacy requests.
If you are unhappy with how we have used your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would be grateful for the chance to put it right first.
